About the Artist

I’m Monique Vander, an illustrator based in the West of Ireland. I create atmospheric, character-led book covers for stories of myth, history and magic.

I work closely with authors to find the heart of their story and create imagery that brings another layer to the storytelling. Collaboration is central to my process: I listen carefully, welcome authors into the creative process, and create artwork that feels distinctive, evocative and true to their vision.

I work with independent authors and publishers, delivering professionally prepared artwork with care, reliability and respect for deadlines.
